Patrick Foley is a writer and content creator who enjoys exploring the strengths of various media to find the best way to tell a given story.
I grew up in a small but vibrant city just north of Boston, surrounded by a family full of natural storytellers. At times it seems my entire youth was spent at one dinner table or another listening to aunts and uncles recount events, extraordinary or mundane, and watching as the others were moved to laughter, tears, or both. Their stories were almost performances, and yet it was just how they talked to each other. The result was undeniable – a shared emotional experience.
I believe that is the point of storytelling. We want others to feel what we feel, to share in our emotional experiences. It is how we live, how we learn, and how we build and strengthen our communities.
As a freelance writer I have worked as a thesis consultant, a script consultant and as the director of a campaign to promote hygiene and prevent the spread of illness and germs in corporate environments. I have created content for use in early childhood education blogs and classrooms.
Now I am dedicated to finding projects that share emotional experiences and using the right media to tell those stories.
I earned my BA in English and Literature from Assumption College in 2012, and my MS in Interactive Media and Communications from Quinnipiac University in 2022. Coupled with my personal history I have the tools to tell impactful stories across media, that share emotion and build relationships.
